First, during daily use, ensure that the surface of the motor protector body is kept clean. If the surface area is too dusty or damp, it will easily cause the overall insulation resistance of the protector to decrease, which will affect its protection effect and cause failure.
Second, regularly check whether the contact of each output, input terminal, contact or connector of the motor protector is maintained in good condition. Is there any phenomenon such as overheating, oxidation, or cable damage caused by poor contact in normal times? Especially for the contact of the three-phase current main circuit, if the contact in this place is poor or the wire diameter is not selected properly, overheating will affect the housing of the device.
Third, regularly check whether the display status of the indicator light, digital tube or display screen of the motor protector is normal, and whether it affects the daily observation equipment data;
Fourth, regularly check the installation of the motor protector and its connectors. Is there any looseness? If so, please adjust it in time to keep it in a firm state.
Fifth, regularly check whether the setting current value of the motor protector is consistent with the originally set value, especially those protectors that use potentiometer knobs and dial switches to operate devices. After all, these are relatively easy to be arbitrarily adjusted by unrelated personnel, thereby changing the original set value.
Sixth, check regularly whether the cooling and ventilation system of the motor is blocked, whether there is abnormal noise during the operation of the motor, whether the insulation value is reduced, whether the contact of the AC contactor is damaged, etc. These, to a certain extent, will also affect the use of its corresponding protectors.
Seventh, the on-site inspection of the protector is a very important inspection method, especially for the initial installation experiment or periodic inspection of the protector, which is a very necessary measure.
